Costume Inspiration

A collection of photos for costume inspiration for Brass Coast. Again, many are a Pick’n’Mix selection. I will not be baring my midriff, and certainly for March I will not be baring even my arms! In the summer fabrics will be floatier, more arm is likely to be shown, there is no need for modesty for the costume as such, but I will still not be baring the dreaded midriff!  My colours will be red and golds, the fabrics warm enough for the time of year! Jewellery will be brass/ bronze/ gold coloured and probably bought cheaply in a market 🙂

I could probably have done this better using Pinterest but I did want to keep everything in the same place 🙂 I am now trying to hunt down a pattern for the two part Takchita dress as they are just lovely

Hand jewellery (I dunno the special name for them) and hand clamps seems to be in at the moment. Pretty sure I saw some interesting variations on the River Island website, (which has some amazing bead and or/chain capes that might suit your theme – though they’re not cheap) and I picked up a pair of gold and pearl hand ornaments on sale in Primark for 4 quid. Worth checking out perhaps?

definitely, thanks! I have some of the chain necklaces from River Island which are lots of necklaces all in one, like the capes but more all in the front 🙂 I love them and am hoping they end up in the sales! I shall also look in Primark, I have some handflowers but more are always good 🙂
